Hi, I’m Barbara Jeanne Igoe. Thank you for visiting my
website. I am a Master-Teacher of traditional Usui Reiki
based in Santa Cruz county in Northern California.

My mission is to open your mind to the possibility that you can take control of your life and your body in ways you never imagined were possible.

Let’s face it...we are ALL made up of energy. There is no denying the fact. Science has proven it. Reiki is an ancient method of working with your energy and your connection to the Universe and the vast energy field that we are all a part of. We are already channels for the Universal Life Force, the energy that keeps us all alive. Reiki opens those channels even further to bring through vast amounts of this energy which can dissolve blockages that create imbalances and dis-ease within the mind, body and spirit.

Reiki works well with and may enhance traditional medical treatments. Reiki is a gentle, safe and natural method that works on an energy level to reduce pain, relieve stress and anxiety allowing the immune system to work at optimal levels. Treatments consist of a gentle laying-on of hands and can be provided at my studio, in the hospital or in the privacy of your own home.

I also teach Reiki classes for all levels, Reiki for healthcare professionals and offer Reiki shares. I am certified to teach Family Reiki™ where a parent/caregiver and the child learn Reiki and a compilation of self-care techniques as a team.

I have also developed a new program for children with life threatening conditions (Family Reiki LTC Classes). Since Reiki reduces stress and manages pain it provides a much needed gift to families at this crucial time. Please visit my Learn Reiki section for more information on these classes.
